Right-click context menu disappears intermittently with Apple Magic Mouse on macOS 27.0.1 — InDesign 21.6
Application version: Adobe InDesign 21.6
Operating system: macOS Golden Gate 27.0.1
Hardware: Apple Magic Mouse
Bug description
The standard right-click context menu in InDesign disappears immediately when I release the mouse button.
Steps to reproduce
Open InDesign 21.6 on macOS 27.0.1.
Open any document and right-click an object using an Apple Magic Mouse.
Release the mouse button.
Observe that the context menu usually disappears immediately, before I can select a command.
Expected result
The context menu should remain open after releasing the mouse button, allowing me to select a command.
Actual result
The context menu closes immediately in most attempts. Occasionally it behaves normally, making the issue intermittent.
Troubleshooting already performed
Tested two different Apple Magic Mouse devices. Both exhibit the same issue on my Mac.
The second Magic Mouse works correctly on my colleague's Mac.
Tested a wired mouse on my Mac; the issue does not occur with the wired mouse.
The issue occurs only in InDesign. Other applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Finder and Safari, work normally.
Resetting InDesign preferences and changing the macOS secondary-click settings did not resolve the issue.
The issue started after updating macOS. This suggests a possible interaction between InDesign 21.6, macOS 27.0.1 and Apple Magic Mouse input handling.
Please investigate this intermittent context-menu issue and advise whether a fix or workaround is available.
