Linked image within illustrator file not appearing when placed in indesign
Using:
InDesign 21.1
Link created in Illustrator 30.2.1
I have a map created in Illustrator with a background (flattened) tiff which displays fine in Illustrator. Once placed into InDD, the tiff won't appear (layer is ON and printing) and doesn't get included in exports (thus eliminating a rendering issue of any kind).
This has happened on 2 separate files but is fine in others with the same set-up.
On occasion the tiff will reappear...
This is a recent 'development' in past 2 weeks.

I experience this issue as well. When I place an Illustrator document into InDesign, all images linked in the placed Illustrated do not display. The only surefire solution I have found is to embed the images, which massively inflates the file size, and is therefore not an ideal option.
This issue has a serious impact on my work, as all of my reports rely on Illustrator artboards placed on InDesign, many of which include linked images as textures. I am on a Mac, but my colleague has experiences the same issue on PC. Excited for it to be fixed by Adobe/ find a work-around.
