Unable to select multiple objects when hidden spreads are in document
InDesign version: 20.1
There seems to be a bug that occurs when there are hidden spreads in the document, where you cannot click and drag to select items on a visible spread. Also when you copy content from one spread to another it doesn't transfer to the current selected page. See below for my experience:
Steps to reproduce issue (part 1):
1. create a document with multiple pages (e.g., 26 pages).
2. Hide some spreads throughout document. (e.g., page 1, page 5, pages 20-23, etc).
3. Attempt to select multiple objects by clicking and dragging.
Expected result: objects selected!
Actual result: nothing selected! (Note, individual objects can be selected one at a time by pressing shift+click, or everything on the page can be selected by pressing Cmd+A. It is only click and drag to select that doesn't work).
Steps to reproduce issue (part 2):
4. Attempt to copy content from one page to another by pressing Shift+Cmd+Alt+V.
Expected result: Content copies onto the current selected page into the exact location as source page.
Actual result: Content copies onto a completely different page.
SOLUTION - Move all hidden pages to end of document. Then selection and copy/paste will work as expected.
