InDesign black screen after I disconnect from the external monitor
Black screen in InDesign after disconnecting from external monitor. If I close InDesign and restart it, it works again. But that's very annoying for my colleagues and me.

I also have the same problem. Here are my specs: all softwares and OS up-to-date
Adobe InDesign: 20.5 2025, Mac OS: Sequoia 15.6, Monitor: LG UltraFine (Software up-to-date 3.14, 2.23, 5250, 4.15, 0.3, 43, 6.59), Issue: I have a MacBook Pro that I work with closed and plugged into an external LG Monitor, keyboard and trackpad. If I have an InDesign file open, while the laptop is closed and plugged into the monitor and then I unplug it from the external monitor and open the laptop, my InDesign window is blank, but the artwork is there (see attached screenshot). If I switch to CPU preview I can see the artwork, but zoom and resizing is laggy. The only work-around I have is to close the file and reopen it to be able to view it in the GPU preview again. I generally work from and store my files on Dropbox (229.4.5197). I have been dealing with this issue for over a year, when I reported to the Adobe Community Forum in Feb. of 2024. Hope to get a fix soon. Thanks. -

Yes, I find it annoying. It also doesn't work correctly in reverse. If I am working on my laptop and connect to my external monitor, I have to close my work and restart InDesign. I was coming to report this behavior myself, and I don't usually do so, but it's been so annoying for so long! Please fix this, Adobe!
