spelling
Hi, I just want you to reach out for me to the Developer team and Interface Design team of InDesign. Please tell them, that the spelling function on InDesign should undergo major improvements. It literally sucks. I've been using InDesign since 2007, and the web application, basically any, like Google, deepL, Grammarl, I think even OpenOffice... are much better. So in this matter, InDesign was never the first choice, more like the last.
-The first major problem it is very counter-intuitive to turn it on and make it work.
-the second, which describes the bug, I have changed my Spelling to German2006 multiple times and it continues in to correct spelling to French even though the whole interface is in English and was supposed to be English before.
I am reaching out because I feel you need push to rethink the spelling on InDesign a bit. If I really want to make sure that my text has no spelling issues I go on google, deepL or Grammarly, etc.
I got used to working with an open browser application as mentioned, but It would be certainly helpful for the future if InDesign was more reliable in this point. Also, it would break down the working steps needed for a better workflow.
