Character missing in Adobe Devanagari font
Please review the attachment.
I am unable to locate or reproduce the character after the = using the Adobe Devanagari script. Need it urgently as I am working on a book.

Hi,
I tried using a font manager to see if such a character (the one highlighted in red) even existed in the font, but i could not find one.
Moreover, word too considers the red highlighted portion as 3 characters: (check: https://ibb.co/kpCD4v) In this screen shot I have replaced the “L” with the curvy “L” using the contextual alternates menu in InDesign. If you want the red highlighted portion of your word document as a single glyph (GID 698), then you try the solution as in my comment below (check: https://ibb.co/nc6qjv). Also see how the glyph is in Fontforge (check: https://ibb.co/bQxpuv)
If you feel it is not a bug within InDesign (and more of a font issue) then do start a discussion for this on Adobe Community Forums. forums.adobe.com/community/indesign

Hi Aman,
Thank you for your response but that is not the character I am looking for.
The character I am seeking is a combination of two combined into one unlike this one which is two next to each other.
The new character should be a combination of GID 724 (top half) and GID 51 (just the curvy part)
I'd love to send you the image or the font file so that you can view the same thing as I view it on my screen but not sure where/how to do this. Clearly, the word attachment did not work.

Hi,
With Adobe Devanagri Script in Regular (Version 2.001), the glyph you need has GID 698. Please see the image https://ibb.co/dUrmpv. I hope you are able to find the glyph now-Aman
