  1. Incorrect Keyboard-Shortcut for "New Document"

    1. InDesign Mac 16.1 (German)

    2. Open InDesign. Type on keyboard: command N

    3. Should create and open a new empty document

    4. Nothing happens

    At the same time:
    2. Open InDesign. Type on keyboard: option command N
    3. Nothing whould happen
    4. Creates and opens a new empty document

  2. UI does not scale - hard to use with people who have differing vision abilities

    Unable to scale UI in InDesign 2021. I have poor eyesight and am unable to see the menus and tools.

  3. Problem with Keyboard Shortcuts

    On a Mac [10.14.6] I set the F8 key to bring up the Paragraph Style Option box [image attached]. With the most recent update the F8 key does not work unless I have the Paragraph Style Panel open [image attached]. This is an obscure bug but it just means I need one more panel open to access the F8 shortcut. This short cut has worked for a zillion years until now. I hope this is of assistance. Thanks.

  4. Emailing a document video won't go away

    Opening a saved document and a 'helpful tip' video clip about emailing a document is stuck in the middle of the screen and won't close or go away, can't click on it and nothing works to get rid of it.

  5. type tool behaves as selection tool

    Hello guys, I'm experimenting this issue in which the Type tool is behaving as the selection tool.

    Instead of selecting text, by double-clicking or click and drag, it just moves the text frame around. Double click is not highlighting the text either.

    I'm running Indesign 16.1.0.20 on Big Sur 11.2.1

  6. %CCX_FNFT_DIALOG_NAME error indesign 16.1

    When i want to open a new document/artbort etc. in Photoshop, Illustrator or Indesign the following pop up appears.

    I am not able to create new documentes.

  8. indesign 16.1 can't move app windows when MacOS sidecar is activated

    setup
    indesign 16.1
    macOS 11,2,1
    2 more monitors plugged on the computer

    steps

    • plug the iPad om the macbook pro 2016 on macOS 11,2,1

    • open sidecar in the system preferences and connect the iPad

    • open indesign. it opens on the macbook pro screen

    • try to move the inDesign app windows on another monitor

    expected results
    - the indesign app windows is moving in the big monitor

    actual results
    - it doesn't move
    - just the document windows is moving on the other monitor

    note : if i disconnect the iPad in sidecar of the system preferences, it works

  10. Recents on Home screen Ability to pin indesign projects on the home landing screen

    A frustration with indesign and an opportunity to improve. As a user of indesign I want to be able to pin certain projects I am working on and see them on the landing home screen. (Currently I have to rely on win folders to store projects).

    So that I can easily locate projects that are of value and referenced not so regularly

  11. New Share tutorial animation loops continuously when opening ID, with no affordance to terminate.

    When opening the application, ID can dramatically improve the user experience and the opportunity to show new features (in this case, the new Share feature) by giving the user a choice to opt-into learning about a said new feature by presenting the user with a [yes | no | maybe later | never show again] dialog message.

    Currently, on a MacBook Pro running Catalina (10.15.7), ID 2021 immediately starts looping a tutorial animation within a fairly large overlay which appears to be intended to promote the new Share functionality. This all happens immediately when the rest of the UI is…

  12. set default open folder

    Upgraded to ID 16.0.1x64 today on a Win 10 64 system. File Open, or File Save, both want to use "This PC > Documents" and not the original file folder. Didn't have this problem prior to the upgrade.

  13. Option-Click and Drag

    InDesign 16.0.1. (and prior)

    I updated to Catalina OS on Mac. Option-Click no longer works as it should. It is supposed to straight duplicate one time. Now it is acting as a step and repeat and is creating 2 duplicates instead of one. Please help. I can't find how to fix this.

  14. InDesign 16.0.2 still does not allow making new folder under SaveAs dialog and Cmd+P also does not work

    Updated version of InDesign (16.0. and 16.0.2) does not allow making new folder when using Save As or Open dialog on MacOS Mojave. Also you can not use Cmd+P shortcut in the same dialog - this is very helpful shortcut that opens current folder in Finder. Adobe WHY are you bringing new bugs all the time for things that worked just great :(

  15. Superscript and subscript buttons do not produce the font’s superscript and subscript figures

    Clicking on the superscript/subscript buttons scales the selected glyphs to a seemingly random size, placing them on a default height,
    * ignoring all of the dedicated OS/2 values in the font: subscriptXOffset, subscriptYOffset, subscriptXSize, subscriptYSize, superscriptXOffset, superscriptYOffset, superscriptXSize, superscriptYSize,
    * and ignoring subs, sinf and sups OpenType features in the font.

  16. shortcuts numpad not working

  20. Smart guides not working at all

    Snap to grid and smart guides or any function where cursor automatically snaps to edge, corner, or center point is not working. I am currently using version 16.0. I have restarted the program 5 times. All of these features are check marked and turned on despite the features not working at all.

    I will not work on my project because of this issue. I need to rely on the precise support of smart guides and snap to guides in order to do what I have to do. I'm very disappointed with this bug and upset I'm set back so much…
