Add a German native-speaker & InDesign power user to your team to make proper and consistent translations
There were many small and big issues with incorrect translations within InDesign in the past.
Three examples:
– »tracking« was (correctly) translated to Laufweite at one occasion in InDesign but (totally wrong) to Verfolgung at a different place.
– »KI-generierte Inhalte« (wroing) and »Beschreibung von KI generiert« (correct)
– epub:type was translated to epub:Schrift instead of epub:Typ
Plus: German text is mostly longer than english, so it sometimes does not fit into the UI.
Consulting a German native-speaker who is also a InDesign power user would be great to make a better InDesign for the big number of German speaking users.
