Enhanced Rendering Intent Options
Currently, InDesign allows us to set rendering intents for pixel-based images. However, it would be extremely beneficial if this functionality could be extended to vector objects and objects that have a LAB color space.
Here are the specific enhancements I’m proposing:
Vector Objects: Provide options to set rendering intents for individual vector objects. This would give users more flexibility in managing the color output of vector graphics within their designs.
LAB Color Space: Allow users to define rendering intents for objects that have a LAB color space. Given the wide gamut of the LAB color space, this would help ensure more accurate color reproduction.
Placed PDFs: Enable users to override the rendering intent of placed PDFs. This would be particularly useful when the original rendering intent of the PDF does not match the desired output intent.
These enhancements would provide users with more granular control over color management, particularly when working with a combination of images and graphics.
