Tab in footnote prefix for aligned decimals
I have a document with over 100 footnotes. I need to align the decimals of every footnote. To do this, I expected to be able to set up in the footnote style an "align to decimal" tab, and then a "justify left" tab for the footnote content, and then a TAB prefix in the "Document Footnote Options." However, there seems to be no way to place a tab as a Footnote text prefix. Entering ^t does nothing, and it gets cleared as soon as I close the options window. Other text or even special characters like ^r for registered trademark work.
We really should be able to place a tab as a footnote prefix.

Yes! It was hard to explain aligned decimals are not possible for footnotes to our client, who wished for this in their documents. This issue is all the more annoying as using a tab as prefix does work perfectly for endnotes, but not for footnotes.
