Make it possible to lock down or freeze all kinds of text wraps made by detect edges
It would be great if there was a way to “freeze” all kinds of text wrap made by detecting edges in a document, or in other words to make them static, so they stop changing with the image. If the designer uses the final image, everything is fine. The problems arise when a print service provider has to make adjustments to the images prior to printing, such as changing color profiles, converting or correcting colors, downsampling, or replacing the designer’s lores versions with hires. Even the slightest changes will often make the text reflow, and this is very troublesome to recreate exactly as it was.
There is a workaround where you turn these paths into modified paths by adjusting them just a little, and you can also find them by searching.
But imagine this:
On a regular basis, you receive a load of documents containing perhaps 500 of these text wraps. All images are to replaced with improved versions. The book is scheduled for printing a few days later. The designer has gone on holidays. There is no time to change all these paths to user modified one by one.
Or the other extreme: You receive a document with just a few of these, which you do not notice until it is too late.
This is what makes me wish for a nice, simple button that I can just press every time I need to make something ready for printing.
