Unlock InDesign Layer with password
In some cases you would like to create label template (layer 1) than lock it, when you pass it to another user he can't unlock layer 1 without permission (for example password).
The use is for workflow management in order to ensure artwork consistency by using single template.

Agreed! Especially for large documents that change frequently you want the design team to control the design but the copy team or business stakeholder to be able to edit the text blocks only.
