updates only on modified pages of publications indesign
When I place one multi-page publication of an indentation in another (for example, I put pages of other publications in a catalog), it would be convenient if, on some pages, the pages where the changes were updated were updated, and not the entire document as it is now.

I agree, the full-document link updates take forever.
To help explain, let's say I have a 10pg indesign document containing component graphics, (for example a series of graphs or illustrations). I place the pages of this document inside another larger indesign document (for example a textbook). Then let's say I go back and edit ONE single page of the component document. When I go to update the link in the larger document, indesign is not smart enough to update just the one modified page. It updates every single page. This takes a considerable amount of processing time and is wasteful/inefficient.
