Paste in place on multiple pages
It would be good to be able to paste in place on multiple pages.

I found a way!
First create your parent page. Any elements you want to be mobile, put on one layer. All elements that will remain constant and immobile will be on another locked layer (Make sure you are editing your parent page when you do this).
Then apply your parent page to all pages. Then select all pages by clicking the first page and shift-clicking the last page. Once all pages are selected, go to the hamburger dropdown menu on the pages window and select "Override all parent page items". It will unlock all of the parent page items, but those in the locked parent page layer will remain locked.
I used this to make a name tag template for my work. The header and event title remained locked and all of the name and affiliation text boxes were released because they were on the unlocked parent page layer.

+100 (or allow the variable elements (e.g. insert variable > Image name) to be working from the masterpage and not give only a general "<no intersecting link>" on all pages where the master is applied.

You seriously can't do this? That's ridiculous.

I see this has had no traction since 2018. Waste of time it appears.

Every time I try to use InDesign, I realize why I love Quark. InDesign is just PageMaker on cheap steroids. After spending an entire day creating 2 of 12 sections in inDesign, I went back to Quark and did the whole 360pg layout, all 12 sections in literally 6 hours.

I understand what Master Page exist for common elements on the pages. But sometimes we need one object on every pages but in different places or with ability to change it whenever we want so actually this could be great and very useful.

Please make this happen. One of the main features of Indesign is multiple pages, and sometimes the master page feature isn't a solution.
