Scratch Disk option
Give InDesign a Scratch Disk option like Photoshop and Illustrator. It consumes far too much memory and runs too slowly on Windows 7.

how do people put together long full color documents without having a scratch disk for indesign?

I agree completely. I create documents with lots of maps and get bogged down in Windows without scratch disk space.

Agreed. Lots of crashing due to graphic-intensive files which were solved by increasing scratch disk in Photoshop.

Producing some very large documents and reports that are very graphic intensive, it would be extremely beneficial to have the scratch disk option available.
