Include anchored object options when copying and pasting (eg an image)
I'm working on a document which uses images as icons to indicate particular activities. I'm copying and pasting the images as anchored objects, but each time have to go into the options to set the Custom anchored position. It would be great if it wasn't necessary to do this for each image.
(I'm a relative newcomer to InDesign, so may be missing something else in terms of how this can be achieved.)

Possible solution for inserting the SAME object: position the first instance, then with the type tool, select the anchor point and 'cut' then 'paste'. Go to the next insertion point and 'paste'. Repeat throughout the document. I have styled the relevant headings so they are easy to find. NB: I tried using an object style, but couldn't get this to work.
For checkboxes, sometimes I use a dingbat/wingbat, adjust the size and offset amount then create a character style.

Agreed. Often when creating custom checkboxes and pasting these into lists, it's a real hassle to align these to the text.
