When pasting, it would be nice to be able to not have to stop to select layer when there is only one layer open and simultaneously have to stop to address error message saying prev layer used is locked or hidden etc. I frequently just want stuff pasted into doc and don't care at the time which layer it falls on and do not always wish to organize as I paste etc.

the same principal applies to dragging from cc library too.
