How can we improve InDesign?

Incompatibility with Mac OS High Sierra

I just updated my Mac OS to Sierra 10.13.2. I can no longer use my pre-2017 InDesign. The program opens but none of the console works and it gets 'stuck' so that I cannot even ask the program to close once opened. Is there a fix? Thanks.
