Easier crosschecking, resetting and copying throughout all styles
We are working with at least ten different paragraph styles per document. If there are changes to be made in the CIs we have to check every single style: Opening up the Paragraph Style Options window, changing, closing, next style, reapeat... forgetting something and opening all windows again to check.
-> How about a button in the Paragraph Style Options window to jump to the previous or next style in the list? (might be useful to every kind of Style Option window)
In the Paragraph Style Options window there is a Reset to Base button only under General.
-> I would prefer a Reset to Base button for every category.
I know you can set a style based on another style but that doesn´t work for us. So making adjustments for several styles is always a pain.
-> Copying specific adjustments from one style to another would be awesome OR
-> selecting more than one style and opening one collective Paragraph Style Options window to adjust multiple styles at the same time.

That Search in Styles from Id-Extras.com is a good option, thanks for the hint. But I think that´s more complicated than it should be. And not enough.
The interface for the Paragraph Style Options dialog box has to advance for more flexibility. Either you are creating new Styles or changing existing Styles, it eats up so much time.
Example:
You have three Styles (in simplified terms, imagine there are more settings)
Headline: Arial + Bold + Size:15pt + Space after: 2 mm
Subline: Based on Headline + Italic + Size:11pt
Text: Based on Subline + Regular + Size:9pt + Space after: 1 mmYou want to change all fontsizes to 10pt. Your options now: Open each style and set it individually. Or Search in Styles from Id-Extras.com I guess.
The option i whish for: Selecting all three styles, opening one Paragraph Style Options dialog box, making one collective change. For the fontsizes I could type in 10pt or since InDesign is able to calculate I could type in -1 to set every fontsize 1pt smaller. You want to reset your Indents and Spacing settings. Your options now: Open Headline and Text and set Space after to 0mm individually. But what if you need to reset more than just Space after, Indents and Spacing holds ten settings. Resetting them all takes too much time. In our case Tabs always need to be reset and newly defined, takes ages!
The option i whish for: A Reset Button for Indents and Spacing and all other settings/categories.Speaking of Tabs. Imagine you have four Tabs in your style and you want those Tabs in other styles, too. Your options now: Write them down or remember them, open each style and set it individually.
The option i whish for: A copy function. Or at least a way to skip through the styles without leaving the Paragraph Style Options dialog box. Or maybe 2+ Paragraph Style Options dialog box open at the same time?I hope this helps to understand. I am happy to explain it further, if you have more questions.

I think I would like this but I'm not sure from the description. Are you wanting to do what can be done with Search in Styles from Id-Extras.com?
