Add global level or book level text variables.
It would be nice to have book level text variable(s) that is used in documents in that book.

a use case: this would be great for setting a publication date to show in a header of, for example, a newspaper, where all pages are separate INDD files managed by a book, and the date is in the future (not handled by existing date fields, that I know of). The workaround I have of a small InCopy file containing just the date, linked in the template / parent pages is a bit fragile

Incredible that this doesn't exist.
But then... we also don't have variables whose values can be set per section of a document.

InDesign's Display Performance should be set to Typical. Watching high-resolution images causes InDesign to redraw areas so frequently that it uses up a lot of your processor's resources. https://domyonlineexam.com/

YES! Running header variables dont work in textframes across spreads. This seems like a huge oversight. A global variable would fix this.
