Grammar Check
Add a feature similar to the Grammarly App to check for grammar and sentence structure errors when typing text in InDesign.

I use InDesign as a typesetter, but I also enjoy writing project proposals for clients in InDesign. I use a template I created and change the context tailored to individual clients. My language must come off professionally. I've used Grammarly Pro for several years with all other Mac Apps, saving me a lot of headache and time. (I even wrote this message in Safari for Mac while Grammarly checked my writing.)

A grammar check system in InDesign would save hundreds of hours of backtracking because the team didn't notice obvious copy errors until the final proof stage before printing. We have a small team and the graphic designers write the copy alongside the product managers, so simple grammar mistakes or strange sentence structure are extremely common. Unfortunately no one takes the time to review it properly until after it's been posted to the web and sent off for printing.

NEED NEED NEED. WANT WANT WANT. I get text files from around the world, and the grammar is awful spend days reproofing articles.

This would be a game-changer! Grammarly says they have no plans to integrate right now, but this should change! There is no reason that Grammarly shouldn't be able to work with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop when it integrates seamlessly with XD.

It's high time you made a feature like this, especially with how far AI has come

I would think given the professionalism that Adobe Creative Cloud paying customers have, they would WANT their FINAL products to have proper grammar and additional spelling checked as they develop products. Yes, the ideal plan is to obtain an approved copy. However, we all know that in the approval process, edits happen. Or even more realistic, most designers are jacks of all trades now and do not have copywriting teams to provide their copy. They are interpreting client-driven content directly - which also is not written by a seasoned writer. It just isn't realistic to reflow copy every time into another program to check it. Having a grammar and spell check system within Adobe that has learning and development abilities would keep up with the higher standards Adobe claims to provide and the customers that pay the high yearly price tag to use. If not, we should all just quit using Adobe and move on to Canva or other less expensive resources that keep up with the times. I'd gladly pay $100 extra a year to have a Grammarly plug-in for the Adobe Creative Suite for that additional backing. It's checking this comment right now (the Grammarly Chrome plug-in).

Or just add grammar checking urgently - doesn't have to be grammarly!

I don't think they've made it happen yet because they don't know how to do it. (Sarcastic challenge in hopes someone on the team takes personal offense and proves us wrong immediately)
You see Grammarly, I don't even know if I have a missing period in the previous sentence...

Copying and pasting from Grammarly to Indesign removes a lot of formatting and requires additional edits. Having this option within the platform would save countless hours of back and forth work.

It is fairly important as we constantly prepare documents for public exhibition and government review.
