  1. Publish Online - Shared Access

For companies, it would be very beneficial to see all online published documents from everyone in the organization. This would help to still maintain one external link to open the published files, but in the case of employee(s) leaving the company, the file can still be updated.

As of now, it is not possible to see or update links/documents that other people published online.

Please rework, much needed feature. Please upvote!!!

  2. Scrollytelling! (InDesign Publish Online update request)

It would be amazing if you added "scrollytelling" capabilities to Publish Online!

Scrollytelling is the interactive, scrolling interactive online media that the NY Times and other sites use to craft stories in an engaging way. See Shorthand.com or Vev.design for examples. It seems like adding this functionality would bring life and added engagement to a piece of InDesign that I feel has been underserved for a while. How feasible is it to add Scrollytelling? Let's make it happen!

  3. Online publishing and interactivity needs importvments

1- make it responsive so it will fill in the screen
2- add navigation (TOC) on the side
3- better way to mange multiple publications, possibly folders..
4- Adding custom URL, for example: Comapnyname.com/issue 01
5- Allow publishing from another adobe ID, this would be great for teams so the publication isn't tied to one person. Maybe the publishing can be directly in the dashboard, for example: user login into the dash board, select new publication or exciting one, the click publish to get indesign file to be uploaded or opened on the computer and automatically published. this way we…

  4. Change Image and Text when I publish project with text anchor

I need to be able to have the first page of the project as an image and also write in my own text in the Text Anchor when publishing online. I need to present this via email and whatsapp.

  5. Lossless GIFs, Further Customizable Shapes, Added Photoshop Tools, Improved Publish Online

My wish is that InDesign is bolstered with all the presentation design features necessary to compete against Canva / Figma / ReadyMag / Google Slides. Here are just a few suggestions:

    1. GIFs (or any media) should not revert to it's original form when published online. GIFs with rounded corners, GIFs filling shapes, GIFs blended with other layers - should have all the same editing effects as a still image.

    2. All preset shapes should be able to be adjusted smoothly and intuitively into others - and still capable of being filled with imagery / text.

    3. PLEASE add more of photoshop's design…

  6. Publish Online: change the position of the "PDF preferences" field

You can only choose a PDF preference if you have marked the first square field under this topic. Because we normally read from top to bottom this is not logical.

Please change it so that “PDF-Einstellungen herunterladen” is under the “Benutzern gestatten, das Dokument als PDF (Druck) herunterzuladen”. In the second screenshot you can see my suggestion.

  8. Add SEO Capabilities to Publish Online Documents.

Publish Online Documents need to have SEO Capabilities. The content within the document needs to be finable by Google or other internet search engines.

Our company loves the ease and control that the Publish Online Feature of INDD offers. But we will abandon this platform is it can be finable online. THANK YOU FOR LISTENING!!!

  9. Syncing Redlines from Adobe Asset Cloud to InDesign

Syncing Redlines from Adobe Asset Cloud to InDesign - Noticing that the asset cloud link has the ability to redline and comment, but the redlines do not come over on the InDesign side with the asset link as they do when you import Adobe comments/redlines. This feature would be hugeeee for our industry to have. Also, using the asset link feature live has crashed indesign a couple times.

  10. Lyft background check?

It is an honor to be able to join the Lyft driver community, which sounds like one exciting environment. I am currently in the course of getting through the application steps. As I go through all the steps, I have thought about the thoroughness of Lyft with respect to what it looks for in a background check. While doing some research, I stumbled across this informative article (https://consumerattorneys.com/article/what-does-lyft-look-for-in-a-background-check), shedding light on the subject. I am very sure that your collective wisdom can provide more details.

Just for those of you who have firsthand experience in driving for Lyft…

  11. Publish Online & Right-Click

I frequently use the feature in InDesign that allows direct online export. However, as an artist and creator, I find it inappropriate that anyone can easily right-click on the artwork and save it as an image. For example, Google Drive doesn't allow viewers to do that. Can InDesign implement a similar restriction?

Password protection isn't good enough; sometimes it doesn't work, and we need to make editors' lives easier. I want full control over my images and don't want anyone to save my images to their desktop so easily. It's true that many images are online, but not all of…

  12. Have a trash can function in Publish Online

If documents are accidentally deleted from Publish Online, they are gone forever, which if done in error, can cause a huge problem. It would be so helpful if deleted documents could be placed in a trash can, even if for only a week or so, to take away the risk of accidental deletion. Thanks

  13. Show and hide

Currently, you can only delete a publication, but not pause it. It would be a great advantage to be able to show and hide a publication without removing it completely.

  16. Add scrolling feature to Publish Online

I create decks for brands and companies, and we often need to use interactive elements like videos and gifs — so we need to publish them online.

Because of smartphones, the design of most websites now, and the way people read PDFs in 'Reader', people expect to be able to scroll rather than clicking left and right.

I'm having a lot of requests now to create documents in non-adobe programmes, like Readymag — purely because they offer scrolling.

My contemporaries are having the same.

I hope this would be a small fix for Adobe, because it would make a huuuuge…

  17. Publish Online Viewing Options - Need More Features

allow Publish Online to have more viewing options: e.g.: being able to scroll down on pages vs. only being able to swipe left/right.

  18. Reinstate the Publish Online button in the top bar please!

This shortcut button to the Publish Online function was one of my most frequently used, and for some strange reason, in the latest version 18.5, it has been removed.
I can't see any reason why it can't remain where it was, very conveniently situated in the top bar beside the Share button.
The new option slows down what was one of my most frequently used functions... I do hope this isn't just 'change for change's sake'??
Anyone else find this change unecessary and annoying?

  19. When using the "publish online" feather in ID, one gets a link - a rather generic (ugly ) looking link. Can you improve the appearance?

I would like that: the cover page, or another graphic, or at least the title of the document shows up in the link to the published document. Who would want to open this? See what is looks like below, and the idea that I could make a graphic that travels with the link - like other graphic attached?

  20. Indesign Online Dashboard improvements - Custom URL, Google analytics, Fname direct to send clients

Indesign is hands down the best software to design & create digital brochures with its advanced technology & features its impeccable. HOWEVER talking about the Online Dashboard System its not leading the industry.

I've done my research and a lot of the online digital brochure creator websites are ahead.

I will list below a few new ideas/features I'd love to see Adobe implement to put them back in the lead when it comes to the publishing feature.
(Some of these ideas are already being done by the online companies)

<> Custom URL, so it looks more professional to clients rather…
