An error occurred while saving the comment Jeremy Bowman commentedIf this was an old problem in January 2020, it's an even older problem in April 2023! Just came across it yesterday!

An error occurred while saving the comment Jeremy Bowman commentedI ran into this today. In my own case, overriding a master page text frame by script causes it to move horizontally 5.9mm — which happens to be the difference between A4 and Letter page sizes.
A script that creates a Letter-sized document and overrides a master page text frame works fine on my Windows PC, but on my Mac causes the overridden frame to shift 5.9mm to the left.

Hi,
We have fixed this issue with 13.1 March release of InDesign. Please update to the latest version and try out the fix.-Aman
An error occurred while saving the comment Jeremy Bowman commentedI'm getting this with InDesign 13.1 on a Mac (OS 10.13.4). It happens with a completely fresh documents, right after trashing preferences, as soon as I insert a table.
I'm getting something similar. I couldn't drag-and-drop in layout view with one letter, even after deleting preference files. With more than one letter could only see the drag-and-drop cursor when hovering over letters after the first letter. I switched from my default Adobe Paragraph Composer to Adobe Single-line Composer, and it worked. When I switched back to Paragraph Composer, it continued to work OK.
