Crash on using Align Distribute option
Help!! I used to be able to get the page tool, highlight multiple pages across a spread in the pages palette, then set the space between pages in the toolbar and use the distribute button to get even spacing between pages. Since updating to InDesign 2019 (v14.0.1), the “use spacing” measurement field never completely shows in the info bar, and every time I hit the “distribute horizontal” button, InDesign IMMEDIATELY crashes. I am using MacOS 10.13.6. Please help, I use this feature A LOT.

Index Entry Crash
Working in InDesign CC 2018. Revising a single chapter of 1300+ page book. InDesign CC 2018 crashes every time I try to create a new index entry. I've installed the BugFxes for Mac, deleted preferences, restarted machine, etc. Trying to create new index entry crashes each chapter even when working in each chapter individually. InDesign CC 2017 did not have this problem. Any assistance or suggestions are appreciated.

Repeatable InDesign Crash with Open Office Data in the Clipboard
I am running InDesign CC, the current version as of March 2018, however I have seen this same bug in older versions of the program. It is not unique to this version.
We use Apache OpenOffice 4.1.0. If there is ANYTHING in the clipboard copied from ANY part of Open Office, it will cause a repeatable InDesign crash. The clipboard data could be text from the OpenOffice Writer program or cell data from the OpenOffice Calc program...it doesn't matter.
With Open Office data in the clipboard, if I attempt to use any of the right-click menus, or choose an item…

Indesign 2018 is a disaster, full of bugs and crashes at any time.
This was a good program, but now it's just a misery. Costs both time and money.
I will work with older versions in the future and hope that any new player will find a better software. It would not be wrong with a phone number on the website, but you're probably ashamed.

InDesign 17.0 crashes on launch after removing a previously installed CEP Extension
Steps to reproduce in InDesign 17.0:
- Install a CEP extension folder manually to ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions
- Launch then quit InDesign
- Delete CEP extension folder installed in step 1
- Launch InDesign, it will crash when "Starting up panels"
As a workaround deleting the following cache folder allows InDesign to launch again.

Crashes when font file is moved *every single time*
This will crash InDesign (and Illustrator and Photoshop) every single time without fail, all cc 2020 apps I've tested, specifically:
InDesign 15.0.2, Illustrator 24.1, Photoshop 21.1.2
I'm using OSX 10.15.3 Catalina
Try this:
–add a font to ~user/Library/Fonts/MyFontFolderName/ to install. Works with any font, but for example try Adobe's own wonderfully designed Source Serif Pro
–make a new document in InDesign, set some text in that font, eg: Source Serif Pro-Regular, save document (or don't save, same result)
–move the font file, eg: SourceSerifPro-Regular.otf to a sub folder, eg: ~user/Library/Fonts/MyFontFolderName/AnotherFolder/
–app will crash EVERY SINGLE TIME.Once again, this happens…

Crash when searching for column break
Indesign 2018 crashes when searching for column break (~M) – with Find/Change dialog box or via script. It works for me with CC 2017. Not yet tested with CC2019.
The document with 500 pages was newly created with CC2018. It was tested with several computers, always with the same result.
Example document can be downloaded here: https://adobe.ly/2SGVPsy.
Happens in CS6, CC 2019 as well.
Find/Change for Column Break in GREP tab of Find/Change crashes InDesign.

crash when deleting line
InDesign crashes on selecting a specific line in TOC
Hi! When trying to delete some lines in the TOC, some lines cause crashes. For one line it seems impossible to delete it. When selecting the line or the space the cursor freezes within seconds and a crash report appears.
On reopening the file an error message appears, though the file can be opened.
Attached are two screenshots and the file.

Object style size property crashes InDesign when used with Libraries
I have recreated this bug on both Mac and PC InDesign 13.0
- Create a text box
- Insert a table with any number of table cells
- Draw a rectangle anywhere
- Create a new Object Style and set Size and Position Options -> Size -> Adjust: to Height Only
- Apply the Object Style to the rectangle
- Cut and past the rectangle into one of the cells of the table
- Create a new Library file
- Drag the text box into the Library
- Try drag the Library item back out onto the page... It should crash.
This has become very problematic for us because…
