Footnotes display spanning columns correctly, don't print across both columns
First time I've had to use the footnote options in InDesign. I have several pages with footnotes which occur at the bottom of each page in each associated text block. Span across columns is checked in both the Footnote Style I created, as well as in the Layout options. The footnotes display correctly on screen as intended. (See second screenshot)
When I print spreads from InDesign to an Epson P5000, the footnotes only print the text that is under the lefthand column. All of the footnote text on the right disappears. (See first screenshot)
Exporting the pages to a PDF generates the file as it shows on screen, and the resulting file prints to the same printer as expected. The footnotes are reproduced properly from the PDF file. I used a PDF X/1a file as that is what the printer needs.
This appears to be a bug in InDesign's printing capabilities.
See the two screen shots to see the problem.
I checked for updated drivers for the Epson P5000, and updated the driver the current file 13.26. Restarted Mac, tried printing the file again. Same result. Display is correct, print output is missing footnotes spanning the second column.
I checked for updated firmware, and updated it the N027N2. Restarted Mac, tried printing the file again. Same result. Display is correct, print output is missing footnotes spanning the second column.
InDesign 20.3.1
Mac Sonoma 14.6.1
This bug was corroborated by another user in the community forums as repeatable.
On first post, the server rejected my post. I deleted the screen shots.

It took the images on the second try.
