When I place a note, it affects the text box as it's rendered as a normal character.
That is - it affects the leading, the spacing, the alignment, etc.

For instance, if I have a top-aligned text box with a paragraph with letter size 9pt, and I place a note somewhere in the paragraph - the entire paragraph will shift downward - as the alignment takes the top of the note anchor as the topmost "pixel" in the text box.

There is no way this is desirable. Who would want notes to affect their document layout? So I have to assume this is a bug, or more likely - a faulty design.
