textframes lose focus
Since having my computer upgraded to Catalina (10.15.7), InDesign (both 14.0.2 and 16.1) loses focus when I click off of a text frame. I’ve attached a video made in 16.1.
When I click off a graphic frame, behavior is normal—I can immediately click another element on the page. But when I click off a text frame, note how the Swatches panel disappears and I must click again on the page so InDesign regains focus so that I can then select another element on the page.

turns out this was related to a beta version of a font plug-in. I solved the issue by uninstalling the plug-in.
