inDesign 16.1 - New version(s) do not keep color settings for documents
Just one more thing to check EVERY time I look at the document.
Reverts to ---- Emulate Adobe inDesign 2.0 CMS Off
ISSUE
A. Even after changing the Color Settings in an open document when I switch apps and come back the Colors Settings have reverted ---- Emulate Adobe inDesign 2.0 CMS Off ---- this is really, really annoying.
B. Opening a document that had been saved in the current version - the Color Settings did not save with the document -
I just made my regular preference without a document open - quit the program reopened -- the Color Settings defaulted back to the Adobe 2.0....
HOWEVER that time the document I had switched and saved kept the Color Settings.

Since a couple of months we have this problem. We work with Indesign 17.4.
Every time we open a document, some of us (4) get this:
The RGB settings in this document are different from the current color settings (same one for CMYK).
We all use Bridge to synchronise our colours and never have had this problem before. All our settings have stayed the same. -

It might actually be this: Users ▸ username ▸ Library ▸ Preferences ▸ Adobe ▸ Color ▸ ACEConfigCache2.lst https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/photoshop-update-causes-indesign-color-management-settings-to-be-reset/td-p/11891667

Yes, same thing happened to me this morning. This seems to be similar to the bug in Bridge in 2019 which did the same thing to sync'd settings
