image damaged or incompatible

I have a set of at least 100 JPEGs that work perfectly fine with any other program, but won't load in Indesign

I'm testing CC2024 on an OS 13.7 intel machine. As part of my test process, I placed PSD files as inline graphics. I created an InCopy file using WoodWing Studio. I edited the text within InCopy. I then checked the file back in and opened it back up in InDesign and I got the same message. I'm not even using JPEGs, I'm using PSD. Is it the OS? I have 2 other people working in OS 13.4 M1 and OS 14 Intel who are not seeing the same error message.

Installed InDesign on a new machine and it is not recognising any tif links that work fine on my old desktop and current laptop. I have even installed an older version of the app and still no luck.

I bought InDesign 19.2 and I am having this issue. The photos are local on my hard drive. I have hundreds of photos to add and each and everyone of them gives me an error. It is not practical to save in another program and then place them in inDesign. There must be an easier way. Please help.

Is there no solution for it yet? Very frustrating

At the office we have the same issue in InDesign 2022. If I try to open the JPEG images in Photoshop 2022, I get the same error. Last year the same images worked just fine. In InDesign 2021 I can place that same image without any problems or errors.
