delete button doesn't work

Sometimes the delete button on keyboard just quits working for no reason. When I close ID and reopen it with the file again, the delete button is working OK again.

    I am having issues with both my delete button and my arrow keys not working. Immensely frustrating. Is it a setting or a bug?
