Object Display Performance
With an object selected, selecting Object/Display Peroformance/ no matter what setting, nothing happens since the 2018 update. It only works if I use the option in the view menu for the entire document or go to preferences and change the default for Typical to high

I've resolved it myself, basically you need to ensure you turn off Preserve object-level display setting in the preferences for Indesign. Then go to view/display performance and turn off allow object level settings. Then turn it back ON and all works again. Really frustrating... I've lost 3 hours today because of this....
