Will it soon be possible to add gradients as well as color swatches to the CC Libraries?
We need to import gradients to CC libraries in InDesign as well to provide more detailed design-guideline components for our brands. Will there be a possibility soon? Kind regards:)11 votes
Placing Cloud Documets
Placing Cloud Documents in InDesign would vastly improve and simplify the workflow of a project started in apps such as Photoshop, Fresco, or Illustrator on iPad Pro. This would allow editing the files placed in the InDesign file without the need to export the Cloud Documents to a compatible often uneditable file format.9 votes
Options dialog for Place from CC Library
Implement a possibility to choose how to import .ai items from Library. Now there is no dialog or options for this at all.
If your item has transparency Indesign uses import setting from last imported .ai object and provides no way to choose this for the current one. So if you want to change it you have to import no-matter-which .ai from local computer -> set desired transparency background option -> import your item from library.
This workaround is absolutely not obvious, thanks for Adobe forums it posted there (from year 2016).9 votes
Why is the InDesign Bug Fix not part of the program download?
Just downloaded the InDesign 2018 yesterday, but the bug fix is dated November 3.9 votesClosed: Fixed · Anonymous responded
I understand the confusion and apologise for the same. Before we could get out the issues in a release we posted the workaround plugins for any users who were blocked due to the bugs.
We have now send out an update to all InDesign users which has those bug fixes in them. Again sorry for the inconvenience.
Live Collaboration Feature
Please add a function to collaborate on one document with multiple users simultaneously. Version Control is one of the biggest tasks on our Indesign projects.7 votes
Import/export Share for Review comments
The new Share for Review feature is great. I've noticed though that once the file is moved, the comments are lost or no longer linked to the copy of the file. I have also seen that only one person has access to comments (although I have not tested this). This does not seem useful when you think about the workflow of an ad agency, where files are usually started by one person (say an art director), then passed along and finished by others (like a designer or studio artist). If comments can't be passed along with the document, it disrupts workflow. Can a future update have the ability to export and import comments into a document? Or perhaps include a checkbox for including comments when you package an InDesign file?

Reveal in Bridge Automatically Installs Bridge
There's a few places in InDesign where you can accidentally hit the "Reveal in Bridge" and if you don't have this installed on your computer already - it will auto-install the app from the Creative Cloud.
I don't think it should do this - it should prompt you to if you want to install this to your computer rather than forcing the download.
I also would like an option to Disable the Reveal in Bridge - as I don't use it and it's so annoying when you have to go back and uninstall apps that you never wanted installed.7 votes
Update linked text from CC Libraries without effecting styles
Please add an opinion to "Place Linked" text without effecting the style after an edit to the text. Imagine the text in the CC Libraries is the master. This master text could be placed in many documents with different styles. Let say your company has a tagline. The tagline could be a different font size in each document. This way you could keep a master product description and place it in many documents with different styles.

CC Libraries, global changes
It'd be great to be able to update Character and Paragraph Styles used in CC Libraries over multiple documents. Frankly, I was shocked to find out I wasn't able to do this.7 votes
Store GREP strings in Library
I often have to use the same long GREP strings in multiple documents and for multiple projects (eg. custom targeting of words and/or characters at the end of a paragraph to avoid orphans). Depending on the context, it can get complicated. I currently have a spreadsheet so I don't have to reformulate every time I need one, but I would like to store them as easily as character or paragraph styles so I can reference them again and again.6 votes
Place .aic and .psdc files
As work flows are continuing to become more and more cloud based with the new photoshop and illustrators, the natural step would be to allow us to place .aic and .psdc files into an InDesign file. These items will be invaluable as we build for future users.6 votes
enable paragraph style groups to be added to CC libraries
Can you create the ability to group paragraph styles in CC libraries as they can in an InDesign file or template.
The idea is to have various groups of styles that apply to different document types that we create, and be able to share these across users in the company.6 votes
Allow object style to be added to cc libraries
Allow object styles to be added to CC libraries just like paragraph and character styles. with my paragraph styles panel open all I have to do is select a style and the double square with and arrow icon in the bottom left corner to add to my current selected library. I'm asking to be able to do the same thing with object styles.5 votes
Ability to sync text variables via Creative Cloud Libraries
Similar to another suggestion here requesting the ability to import .csv content as variables: it would also be useful to be able to insert a text variable into an InDesign document from an external source such as Creative Cloud Libraries. This would enable a simple central location for variable information (eg prices, product specs etc) that could then be used across multiple documents. Updating the central data would then update all 'linked' variables when an InDesign document is opened, removing the need to manually update and the subsequent risk of human error.5 votes
A feature for working together on an Indesign document would be great for the year 2019. Similar to Adobe XD Cloud documents, or comparatively like the collaboration of Indesign and Incopy (Check in / Check out) - just cloud based.
I Just want a solution for a group of Designers working on one project without having the trouble of creating a load of documents.
Please add InDesign as a supported Creative Cloud file type
I was very excited to learn more about CC files and libraries during Max. I wanted to start implementing CC files to take advantage of versions and file sharing. It's very disappointing to learn that InDesign isn't currently a program that's supported for CC file saving. Please add it.4 votes
View multiple CC Libraries at the same time in InDesign
It would be very helpful to be able to view more than 1 CC Library panel at a time within the InDesign workspace. For instance, my company has a library for our brand elements (colors, fonts, logos, etc) and then multiple other libraries for various uses. I'd like to be able to have at least 2 open simultaneously rather than switching back and forth.4 votes
Data merge should be able to source images from a CC library. Currently I use images from a server and it crashes very often.4 votes
Single Page Send for Review
Very excited for the Send for Review feature. We've been using Acrobat to do this, so having it baked into is a game changer. Is there a way to review the document as single pages instead of spreads? It helps our writers and copy editors read easier with single pages. Thank you for your help!4 votes
PLEASE give senior discounts to Adobe products.
Senior citizens who have used Adobe products when they were employed would like to continue but because of fixed income cannot afford the monthly fee. Can you please give discounts like you do students?4 votes
