Add space before text on the first line in a text box
For each new chapter in a book, we like to add space before the chapter title, but need to either modify the size of the text box (dragging the top down), or we need to add a paragraph break to act as a work-around to create space before the first line of text.
It'd be great if InDesign had a feature to allow added space before the first line.

I have the same need, so I created a parent page called "Open," but it could be anything, and the top margin is lower on the page, so the first line is also lower. Maybe this would help you. It's easy when you're using a book with separate chapters, and the first parent page to each chapter is the one with the lower top margin (see attachment).
