Export Preset Suffix
I use different presets in Indesign for the PDF export. See screenshot. I work in RGB workflow and export different papers in CMYK etc.
work with a very strict naming convention for documents like PDF.
This means that the naming can be used to determine whether the document is HighEnd PDF or View for Customer.
Indesign takes over the document name for the export. I add the export names like e.g:
Document A LowEnd.pdf
Document A X4 High U.pdf
Document A Screen 150dpi.pdf
I have to do this manually in each case.
It would be great if you could also define the suffix for the presets. Thus the painstaking rewriting of the documents is not necessary.
It would be Cool to set like:
"Document Name" "Preset Suffix" "Profile Suffix".pdf
Document Name = Indesign Filename
Preset Suffix = a defined suffix in the presets (X4 High...)
Profile Suffix = a definend suffix (Uncoated, Coated etc)
This would bring much more standardization to the workflow. Without having to always check and rename multiple files.

Hey Jens,
By far the best option at the moment is the script 'Batch convert/export' by Peter Kahrel. I use it every single day and does almost exactly what you describe and much more. The only downside (if that really is one) is that it always exports all open InDesign files. Something I tend to forget now and then. Read the manual well. It takes a little while to understand all the possibilities but once you do you will ask yourself how you could ever have done without it. And because it's a script you can also assign a keyboard shortcut to it to make things even easier for you :)
