Path elements as Artifact
To create an accessible PDFs it’s essential to either tag relevant content or mark irrrelevant content as Artifact. In InDesign you can use the object export options to mark an object as “Artefact”.
So far so good, however any path elements from tables or underlined/strikethrough text are not marked at all. Obviously, those always need to be marked as an Artifact. InDesign should do this automatically during the pdf export process. Please fix that, it’s extremly time consuming to fix that manually in Acrobat.

This would maybe be a rather simple fix but save so much time and make the accessibility workflow less destructive. Thank you also to Mark Wahlsten for his time-saving temporary workaround.

I'd also like to add my voice to this! I have an annual report full of them. Please make them artifacts automatically.
TEMPORARY FIX:
— In Acrobat, go to "Print production" tools,
1 — Open "Preflight"
2 — Click the little spanner icon in the toolbar, to filter by "fixes"
3 — Search "Mark all non-structure elements as artifact"
4 — Double-click on it, or click "Run" down the bottom right
5 — You'll be prompted to "Save as" –(I'd save a copy just in case)
6 — Click the little flag in the right corner to save it to your favouritesThere are also a lot of other fixes that may be useful for accessible PDFs, like "set PDF/UA-1 entry", to add the metadata.
Under the "find only" (magnifying glass) filter, there is a really useful PDF/UA checker that generates an annotated "report" version of your document, with the errors marked up.
Only found out about the Preflight stuff when I stumbled on a comment somewhere that referenced it in passing.

I am also having this issue. All of the underlining throughout the text is getting flagged as path object not tagged.
