Table Summary Option as per Word and other apps
Could you add a tab in the ‘Table Options’ dialog window when selecting a table. This tab called Table Summary would be a field that allows you to add a brief description on what the table is about. The information would then carry over to a PDF when you export it.
An accessibility check on the PDF without a table summary produces a warning. Whilst tables summaries are not compulsory for accessibility, in order to get 100% compliance (green tick), tables summaries need to be added which Microsoft Word and other programs seem to do whereas Adobe Indesign does not.
The attached PDF further explains the request.

This is something I would use on a daily, more often than daily basis.
On my desktop currently is a document which I've had to manually add 52 table summaries.
Please, please Adobe, take a look at this.
How do you do it in Acrobat? It's driving me crazy! Thanks.
Likewise, something my colleagues and myself come across on a daily basis.
This would be a great addition to InDesign and save valuable time in creating fully web accessible pdfs without having to defer to Acrobat as the final process to fix.
This is something my team need on a weekly if not daily basis. Please could Adobe look into this as well as respond to the requests. Thanks
Would be great if Adobe would respond to this.......
