Enable Animated/Scrubby Zoom
Add the animated/scrubby zoom feature for PC users--it's time. It's ridiculous Photoshop and Illustrator has it, but not InDesign? Since Mac users are given tools PC users don't have, perhaps Adobe should discount our subscription fee.

Add animated zoom on windows please, its difficult to zoom in and out without this feature, I don´t know if it´s too difficult to do it :/

Insanity that this feature is still not in InDesign considering people were talking about this since at least 2017. This is literally my most wanted feature, why is half of your userbase forced to use a less efficient way of navigation?

My gosh, why is this not a feature on Windows? Do they actually want to punish people for not buying a mac? As a starting designer, this makes learning the Adobe suite so much more difficult. It shouldn't be hard to implement in the scheme of things, so why don't they? The Adobe suite has wonderful programs otherwise!

This is ridiculous. I've been using Photoshop for almost twenty years and Illustrator for five. How am I supposed to break myself of this habit while learning InDesign??

It's not like they have to put in a big effort for the development of this, it literally already exists in some of their other products. How hard can it be to transfer it over?

It's late 2020 and we still need this.

I signed in the Adobe chat and received the absurd response from the attendant: Mac users are more designers than windows users.
Adobe, please just explain to me why there is no such feature in indesign for windows!

Its beyond infuriating and so destructive to my workflow. I go back and forth from Photoshop to Illustrator and InDesign all the time, and not having animated zoom in InDesign is horrible. There's no reason for it. https://www.selfgrowth.com/articles/how-to-get-good-rankings-in-google-images-for-seo

There is an animated zoom feature for PC. If you hold Alt and scroll, this will behave just like animated zoom on Mac. I accidentally found this out because Adobe XD uses the same function for their zooming.

Any update/progress on this? The disappointment is starting to get tiring seeing the marquee selection every time I switch back to INDD from other apps. I mean, when using the hand tool and holding/releasing the left click has a similar function... just give us more control there. That's all. It doesn't have to be perfect. Just do a rough roll-out (maybe in a beta channel feature)... I won't judge, I promise. It just kills my momentum, which migrates all my copy-heavy layout projects over to other apps that offer me that flexibility.

How is this still not fixed?! There is absolutely no reason for it. Its either laziness or something underhanded.

This is what i came here to add or find. I also switch between Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign with frequency and hate the lame, incomparable zoom in InDesign. I cuss every time i zoom in too closely thinking it's the animated zoom. Please add it!!

I wonder why they still have not added scrubby zoom to InDesign and InDesign CC 2019 (v14.0) is broken and unusable. Had to go back to v13.1.
Adobe, please add scrubby zoom because it seems like you guys are trying to unify the user experience (finally) in the 2019 versions across these three software but still seems clueless.

I'm a long time Photoshop and Illustrator user, I have some work thats optimally done in InDesign and honestly the program is horrible borderline unusable. Having such a crucial feature missing across you're most switched between and powerful programs is terrible.

It really is a very important tool for me to use on either Mac or PC. Animated zoom is a great feature to have.
