Discontiguous selection of rows and columns
Being able to select rows and columns that are not adjacent to one another would useful to me. For example, one would like to select columns 1 to 3 and 5 to 7, leaving column 4 unselected.
Often I need to adjust the width of some columns or the height of some rows, leaving others in the middle of the table unadjusted. One instance is when I use a blank column or row to separate groups of data; another is when several discontiguous columns have much longer labels than other columns.

THIS!!!! Imagine if you're working in a long format document and you have alternating colors per table row. If you delete one row, it throws off all of the colors. Now you must select each row one by one to fix the problem. Such a time waste.
