Open multiple files from the 'Open Recent' thumbnails page would really help speed up getting back into work flow
From the 'Open Recent' screen, the ability to open multiple documents without having to go into the open dialogue would be great.

Completely agree with this idea. A simple UI tweak but the ability to open multiple recent docs at once without losing the home screen.
