Spellcheck only "real" copy.
Add an option in "Check Spelling" to tell it to "ignore automatically generated placeholder text". So that Spellcheck would flag only real copy. I often use both in my documents and it's hard to check a 40-pg document when it keeps stopping at several paragraphs of placeholder text.

While it's possible to set the language to [No Language], it requires an extra step when creating the text and requires that you remember to set the language back to the proper language when you add the final text. It seems like it would be a relatively simple thing for the text to get flagged to be ignored when it's filled with autogenerated text and then remove the ignore flag whenever the text is manually edited. This would save me a ton of embarrassment when sending non-final copy to clients, ensuring that the final text DOES get spell checked, and saves a great deal of time from manually resetting the language on every individual text box in the project.

It would be nice to have the option to not spell check Master pages. As you can do in Find.

No need for (further) software support. Just set the language of your placeholder text to [No Language].
