Only align last line to grid
I often use captions (in a separate text frame) aligned at the bottom of the page with the bottom line of the body text and/or an illustration. If the leading of captions and body text is different – which is often the case – It would be useful to be able to align only the last line of the caption to the baseline grid just as it is possible to "only align first line to grid.".

I wish for this every day! So tired of changing the bottom of the frame to align the last line of the footnote to the baseline grid.
Finally, I set the bottom of my parent text frame to exactly match the baseline grid, so the footnotes would automatically land there, and that seems to work (see screenshot).
But that only solves that particular problem, and I see that folks have other issues that aligning bottom line to BL would solve.

GREAT SUGGESTION! I was going to make the same suggestion but saw yours.
I have this issue all the time with footnotes, for which I want to align the LAST line to make it easier to balance pages. I work on books that frequently have a good amount of footnotes, and, as they have a different size and leading, can't align to the base line grid, and Align to First doesn't help if the last line doesn't conform to the baseline grid.

Totally agree. Also usable when you have a headline in more than one row and too large to follow the baseline. Then you would like the space between paragraph and headline to always be the same. If you could set the headlines last line only, to follow baseline that problem would be solved.
