Footnotes
If you have a text with two or more columns the footnotes appear in the same column. That's great but it would be much nicer if you could have the footnotes under the colums ans as wide as both/all columns together. At the moment the efford to get this is very high and I have to use additional text boxes and I loose the connection between number in the text and footnote.

We have just recently added this feature to InDesign. You would need to get access to the latest version of InDesign. I am sharing below the help document which would help you understand how this can done.
