    MacOS X Catalina on MacBook 2017
    When updating to InDesign 15.1 and opening an existing document.
    Stories that have only Latin (English) text are fine, but stories that have fonts for Cuneiform, Egyptian Hieroglyphs, and Ancient Greek (it’s a document about Ancient History) don’t display the proper character for footnotes. Instead, an “s” is displayed, or “ss.”

    I agree. Some documents end up being corrupted, or freeze when we do changes to them, when there are too many external cross references. As Maik mentions, “the only way [to find them] is to hover with the mouse over the cross refs listing in the cross ref panel. That’s annoying.“ Especially when a document contains a large number of cross references.
