We have released InDesign 2025(v20.2.0.036) with many bug fixes. We recommend you upgrade to the latest version (if you’re not already on it) as it is more robust.
If you still face this issue even after updating, please send the following information to santalwa@adobe.com :
- Reproducible Steps – What were you doing when the issue occurred?
- Video recording of the issue?

An error occurred while saving the comment InD 2020 (v. 15.0.2) on macOS 10.14.6 (18G3020) resets the workspace to default every time I create a new document while having no other documents opened.

On macOS I work without application frame and my dock is vertically placed at the left edge of the screen.
In the InDesign 21.0 document windows maximize in the wrong way: The window is expanded to the left up to the screen edge without taking into the consideration position of the dock. But the toolbars are placed correctly.
In order to reproduce:
* Put your dock at the left edge of the screen
* Switch off application frame
* Maximize windows (green button) holding Alt to switch into + mode (do not use fullscreen mode).
System: macOS 15.7.1 (24G231)
