    Hello All,

    We thank you for your patience all this while.

    Addressing this problem has been tricky for us given the random nature of the issue.
    Determined to resolve the issue, we had launched our investigation into the matter to identify the root cause and fix it.

    Many of you must have received email from us seeking more details about the issue.

    We have concluded our investigation and came up with the below mentioned finding:

    It was found that, most of the times, users were trying to drag an empty polygon which was leading the confusion because the legacy behaviour of InDesign allows dragging of polygon only from its edges or the centre most point.
    If the user tries to drag it from any other position, the object cannot be moved.

    We have tried to improve the user experience in this regard. You can try the same in InDesign’s latest…

    This is happening to me too! I cannot drag anything with my mouse. I can grab corner boxes, but cannot simply select an object and move it. Can only use the arrows to move things. Help!!! Please!! I have deadlines to meet!

    As part of the investigation into the cause of this issue, we personally reached out to many of you over email. We have so far heard from only some of you.

    Of the responses we have received, the conclusion we’ve come to is:
    This issue was intermittent, happened once during the course of work but somehow got resolved and has not happened again. This issue can’t be reproduced now.

    Over a period of time, this thread has not thrown any fresh clues on why this issue seems to occur randomly for some and then seems to resolve itself. So we’re closing this thread.

    However, even though we’re closing this thread, if you again run into this issue any time on a consistent basis, please report it here on UserVoice (in a new thread) with supporting assets like:
    A) a test file,
    B) detailed steps to replicate the issue
    C) any…

    Same issue! Can't even copy and paste into a new indd document. Until further notice and this is fixed, I'm going to go back to the previous version which happened to still be on my machine. Using Windows 10 Home.
