As per the customer, the issue was specific to a corrupt element. Deleting or modifying the corrupt element resolved the issue.

An error occurred while saving the comment Zach commentedAfter further editing the document, it eventually stopped crashing. It seems there was simply a corrupted element in the document. Once this was changed or removed (not sure exactly what it was), the document functions as expected.

An error occurred while saving the comment Zach commentedThis is a major issue in InDesign. I cannot rely on bulleted lists to behave properly and often have to manually setup bulleted lists.
Totally agree. Designers shouldn't have to worry about basic elements disappearing (without warning) when outlining fonts in InDesign. Bulleted and Numbered lists as well as strokes and fills applied to text boxes should outline or somehow be retained when outlining fonts.
