    Hello All,

Thank you for your patience while we were investigating into the issue.
Over the time this thread became too generic to come up with any actionable items for the team to work upon.

As a result, we started reaching out to all of you to understand the issue in depth.
During the course of this activity it was discovered that, for majority of you the issue was no longer reproducible and the functionality resumed working fine.
For some of you the issue was related to incorrect use of dictionary, which was resolved by suggesting the correct method.

For now, we have decided to close this thread. In case you are facing any issue with spellcheck functionality please create a new thread with more specifics so that we can start working on it asap.

You can also reach out directly to us on sharewithid@adobe.com.

Since I installed the latest update (March 2018), spell check is no longer working. When I have it set to search the whole document, it flashes one word in the box very briefly, but does not give me the option to change or ignore it. It will only move on to another word if I make a change. Then it's the same with the next word--it will flash briefly, also with no options to change or ignore. Is there a preference somewhere that was cleared with the update?

    Hello All,

Thank you for your support all this while. The issue is now fixed in the latest update of InDesign.
Please upgrade to the new InDesign 14.0 from your Creative Cloud Application.

If you are unable to see the update yet, click on the menu (three dots) on the top right corner of Creative cloud app and click on “Check for App Updates”.

Let us know your feedback in the comment section.

    Thanks,

That seems to have fixed the problem for me too. Thanks!

I just installed the latest update to inDesign 2018 (March 2018 - 13.1 I believe?) and now when I overtype existing text, the first character disappears. It seems to happen when typing over words in the middle of a paragraph. Overtyping at the beginning of a paragraph works fine. Very frustrating to have to keep checking to make sure I'm not losing characters.
