   Sorry— That's InDesign 2018 (also previously on 2017) on MacOS Sierra 10.12.6

   Suspecting this is the same problem I have, where I can bring up a dropdown menu (e.g., vertical alignment in the text frame options box) but not select anything on it unless I use the arrow keys and enter/return.
