We have released InDesign 2025(v20.2.0.036) with performance and stability fixes. We recommend you upgrade to the latest version (if you’re not already on it) as it is more robust.

If you still face this issue even after updating, please send the following information to santalwa@adobe.com :

    a. Please share your OS version and machine configuration

    • To save your Mac's system configuration, open the "About This Mac" window, select "System Report," and then choose "File" > "Save" to export a detailed system information file that captures your current settings; you can name and save it to a location on your Mac for future reference.

    b. Steps to Collect Windows System Information

    • Type System Information in the search bar.
    • Double-click the System Information app.
    • Click File. Click Save.
    • Name the file. Save the file to the Downloads folder. Click Save.

  2. "Unable to adjust document layout due to an error."

    1. Adobe InDesign CC 2019
    2. File >Adjust Layout > I select Custom page size; Auto-adjust margins to page size change; Options - adjust font size, adjust locked content.
    3. Expected result: page and all objects and fonts shrink from those I needed for a 8.5" x 11" (letter sized) doc. to 7.222" x 6" (6-column newspaper ad size) I need to produce a print-ready PDF for newspaper layout.
    4. Actual result: the error message "Unable to adjust document layout due to an error." (note: the preflight shows no errors, all links working, everything copacetic).
    5. See screen shots.

  3. Pasteboard not centered in layout view

I'm not sure if this is the right bug category, but when trying to view spreads, no matter what view option I pick, the pasteboard is aligned right only, with lots of extra room on the left. If I scroll all the way left, the left edge of the pasteboard is about in the middle of the view area and if I scroll all the way right, nothing past the right edge of the pasteboard is visible. It should be the other way around if not centered, because at least then, all my tool panels wouldn't cover up what I…

  4. Can't move multiple objects after 14.0.1 of Indesign. And it's sloooowww!

Trying to move multiple objects, mostly boxes of type. One or several items does not move although selected. Upon undo and trying to move again, other objects doesn't move. And it has gotten so slow but that might be after Mojave 10.14.3 and not Adobe :)

  5. Can't create snap to baseline style

I just paid for and downloaded ID 17.2.1 after using cs6 and need to meet a deadline for a four page newsletter. I can't seem to find any buttons whatsoever that allow me to create a body style with the text snapping to the baseline. My text is all over the shop. Did I just do a faulty download, or am I missing something? Where is the option for baseline snapping or not snapping?

Align to Baseline Grid option is available in the Paragraph panel.

It is also available in the Paragraph Style dialog under the Indents and Spacing section - Align to Grid.

    Hope you find this useful.
