    "Don't Save" and "Cancel" Positions are reversed in Indesign 20.0.

    Why in the world would they do this??? Yet another meaningless update to hinder production.

    Not OS related, as I have not updated my OS since updating to Indesign 20.

  2. [ID-4219714]CEPHtmlEngine maxes out CPU to 100%

    macOS Catalina 10.15.5. and InDesign. 15.1.1.

    Massive problem with CEPHtmlEngine Helper. After a while, my MacBook Pro fan is running high and in the activity window, CEPHtmlEngine Helper is running between 90 and 100%. It is no fun to work with a system that runs crazy.
    Why? Solution needed.

    This latest update for late August/September is really really really slow. It lags crazy. It's not efficient to work in. Even with small documents.
    It's the most unpleasant InDesign experience ever!

  4. [ID-4257731]No Redraws on Object Highlight

    Prerequisites

    • macOS version only
    • version 18 (2023) and later
    • Screen Mode: Normal
    • GPU Performance OFF (CPU Preview)

    This issue occurs 100% of the time under these conditions. Note that Overprint Preview forces CPU Preview, causing the issue even in Overprint Preview mode with GPU Performance ON. It persists across macOS versions and Intel/Apple Silicon platforms.

    Steps to Reproduce

    1. Prepare an InDesign document with multiple pages.
    2. Place any object on the page.
    3. Switch to the Text tool.
    4. Hover the mouse over the object (MouseEnter), without selecting it.
    5. Press the Cmd key while the mouse is over the object.

  5. [ID-4213978]unable to change font, size, style in Script UI, alignment problem with Image on button

    Unable to perform basic features such as changing of text Font, Styles, Sizes in CC's scriptUI.
    Alslo image in button way OFF alignment.

    This result in uglier customized UIs than it's older versions.
    As the world population is getting older, the ability to have bigger font size and style is really needed.

  6. [ID-4218828]InDesign, InCopy: linked copy and image files randomly broken

    We are a group of 16 graphic designers working on Macs. Our OS are varied between Sierra, High Sierra and Mojave. We work in InDesign 14.03 and 15.02 (with linked InCopy assets), Bridge 9.1 and 10.03, Photoshop 20.0.8 and 21.1, and Illustrator 23.1.1 and 24.1. We work on Box Drive and store our layout files and absolute-linked image assets there. It is critical that we are able to work on each others’ files in a high-volume, high-production environment. We don’t believe this is an issue related to our connection speeds.

  7. InDesign 2023 (18.0) Screen not refreshing

    Half the time or more, page down/up and zoom do not refresh the screen. Attempting to select something just draws the rectangle around nothing. Finally through a variety of erratic body movements, thrashing and random gestures, ID wakes up. This is a huge step backward from v17. Productivity severely hampered.

  8. Reveal in Finder on NAS Server not working

    When using InDesign 14.0.3, on mac OS X Catalina (10.15.1), ctrl clicking the .indd file's title bar to reveal in finder doesn't work (switches to finder but doesn't reveal) if the .indd file is stored on NAS RAID server. Server connection is afp://
    Revel in Finder command works fine if the .indd file is stored locally.

  9. Slow performance - spinning wheel - AdobeFnt22.lst

    Hi Adobe, we are still having major issues with a lot of spinning wheels in InDesign version 15.1.1. because of the AdobeFnt22.lst files that are created with every document. Basically when we open a document it resyncs/updates the AdobeFnt22.lst file of every document that was previously worked from that Mac. This is causing a lot of network traffic and spinning wheels in InDesign. The problem is fixed if we restart the Mac or rename the "Document fonts" folder so that InDesign no longer uses the fonts so does not create an "AdobeFnt.lst" file.   10. InDesign v15.1 slow to open and poor performance generally

    Another decrease in performance between v15.0 (whcih was already very slow compared to v14) and v15.1 on Windows 10 x64 with a very high-spec workstation.

    Particularly frustrating is when you click on the icon in the taskbar to launch the app it appears as though nothing has happened and takes 30 seconds or so before the splash screen appears and the app appears to have launched. By which time you usually tried launching it again a few times!

  11. Printing seems to change a document

    When the only thing done is printing an InDesign document, the app acts if there were any changes made: when closing, it asks wheter to save the changes.
    This is very confusing, since it makes the user think something was changed by accident. Please make InDesign close the document without the save dialog, if nothing was changed.

  12. CMD+O (Open File) STILL Doesn't Work in 15.0.3 on first launching InDesign

    This still hasn't been fixed!! When first opening InDesign 15.0.3 CMD+O just gives a 'dead key' beep, and it doesn't bring up the 'Open File' dialog. You must use the MENU to open the first file. After you have opened a file from the MENU, the CMD+O will then work. PLEASE FIX, for us long-time users this is painfully annoying! I have reported this in previous releases.

  13. [ID-4256388] New document size resetting to previous

    Every time I go to set up a new document and put in a size in the preset details, the measurments snap back to the previous size, either immediately, when tabbing from width to height, or when adding margin or bleed details. Happens every time, repeatedly. Using Indesign 2025 v20.01, on iMac 2019 OS Sonoma 14.1, also happens using Sequoia

  14. Open Recent numbering goes from 1 to 9, then 0 and then repeats 1 to 9, 0.

    When selecting File > Open Recent, and there are more than 9 items (I have it set to 20), the items are listed numerically from 1 to 9 and then 0. Then it repeats 1-9, 0. One would expect 1-9, 10, 11, 12, 13, etc.

    Obviously not a showstopper, but just something to fix.
